Re: 7seas licenses, The Sword Named No Way Out is the first Huai Shang novel they licensed which feels noteworthy because she's such a big author and her most popular works have already been snatched up by Rosmei. I'm interested in how the reception to this book will be because I feel like her

Maybe I should finally read Sayers this year. I'm interested in her work but I haven't tried it before because a lot of the praise I see is for her development of her detectives, and I'm not particularly interested in m/f detective romance. But maybe it'll be more fun than I'm expecting

1) AI has a myriad of ethical problems and hazards that I think make AI translations unethical by themselves, even if they were good translations (which they also aren't). But disregarding this for the sake of argument...

Clever though she was, Bian Jin’s words still left her momentarily puzzled. I disinfected everything right in front of her, she thought. And I’m only holding her left hand, not her right. What does she mean, ‘Don’t do that, please’? Once again, Bian Jin had no idea what to say. How was she supposed to tell Shen Ni that those few light touches had been enough to make her body melt completely?
