Talking up a storm! ⛈️ 32 | TX | San Antonio | @KENS5
The cold, cloudy and damp weather continues! A cold front will push through South Texas, Thursday morning. This will help create a overrunning pattern where rounds of light rain will push through the region Thursday and Friday. Highest rain totals will be east. #txwx
December 2, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Rain chances are there, but they look slim. As a front drops through South Texas Thursday, the best opportunity for downpours will form south and east. The heaviest potential will be closer to Louisiana by the end of the week. #txwx

Extremely warm and humid the next few days! Wednesday into Thursday, rain will start off light and scattered. Then, a broken line of storms will likely push through Texas early Thursday. Some spots across Texas may receive 1"-3" of rainfall. #txwx

November 14, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Intensity and timing is difficult to predict. However, another strong solar burst of energy will arrive creating another opportunity to see the northern lights LOW on the horizon tonight! The line could be farther north or south depending on timing. #txwx
November 12, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Fire danger gradually decreases this week as humidity returns. As a result, temperatures trend upward! We'll see above average warmth through the weekend with chances for widely scattered rain. Heaviest rain farther north closer to Dallas. #txwx
November 11, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Temperatures remain COLD overnight! Expect most areas dropping into the 30s, Tuesday morning. A few areas farther north may briefly dip down to 32°. Veterans Day will be sunny and perfect with daytime highs in the 70s. #txwx

From record heat to fall temperatures - we have some big changes moving in this weekend. Record heat Friday and Saturday. A strong front will move through Texas, Saturday night. This will drop daytime temperatures below average early next week! #txwx

#Melissa made landfall in southwestern Jamaica today as a Category 5 hurricane. With winds at 185 MPH sustained, this ranks and ties with some of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes on record. Such as the Labor Day storm, Gilbert and Wilma. #tropics

We're hoping. A weak front pushing through Texas Friday night will help generate a few showers and thundershowers in the area. Highest totals look to be east of I-35. Hopefully some good soakers overnight into the weekend! #txwx
October 21, 2025 at 9:29 PM
#Melissa has strengthened into a tropical storm in the central Caribbean! While the American model (GFS) ejects this storm back out to sea quickly, the European takes a more westerly route closer to Cuba this weekend. Something to watch! #txwx
October 21, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Although this won't be a strong burst of cold air, temperatures will be trending down Sunday and Monday! In fact, hi-res data is shooting for chilly temperatures, Monday morning. Prepare yourselves! #txwx
October 18, 2025 at 3:52 AM
#Halloween is "usually" much cooler for San Antonio. Last year was the exception! Most Halloweens are much cooler especially in the overnights. Our forecast gradually cools down by the end of the month. #txwx
October 16, 2025 at 7:01 PM
With calming winds at the surface, we're likely to see increased ozone and poor air quality at times through the week. If you have asthma or any respiratory conditions, limit time outdoors. #txwx
October 15, 2025 at 5:34 PM
With drier air at the surface and ongoing drought, this will lead to an elevated fire threat this week. Avoid any type of outdoor burning, driving over tall grass, burning trash, etc. Fires may spread rapidly. #txwx
September 29, 2025 at 11:27 PM
#Imelda will take a hard right turn later this week. Despite this, tropical moisture will push northward providing increased cloud cover and tropical rains for coastal regions in the Carolinas. Less rainfall overall and a diminished flooding threat. #tropics
September 29, 2025 at 1:40 AM
#Humberto and #PTC9 which will strengthen into #Imelda this weekend are two storms in the Atlantic! Imelda will near hurricane status before driving in tropical rains into the Carolinas early next week. Flooding is a concern. #tropics
