NEW: Footage of a US citizen in Chicago being rammed then dragged from her car on her way to work.

Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.

She was later released with NO CHARGE.

A DHS statement said she “violently resisted arrest, injuring two officers”.

You decide…
The billionaire owner of the L.A. Times and the Trump admininstration have promised Scott Adams the Pluvicto drug for his prostate cancer. Fun fact, research that led to the discovery of Pluvicto was done at Purdue University, the target of millions of cuts to research programs by Trump and DOGE.

always an immense honor to talk with @judgeluttig.bsky.social about what it means for judges to stand up to monarchic power, and then to Rick Woldenberg of Learning Resources who brought the tariffs case to SCOTUS for . . . precisely the same reason. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

What on earth is "centrist" in any regard about Donald Trump and his Project 2025 policies?
I remember that column. And also the Mosque at Ground Zero blow-up, which was neither a Mosque nor at Ground Zero, but it made Mad Pam Geller so famous she was interviewed on 60 Minutes as if she were a real human being.
We like to think of ourselves as compassionate, reasonable people. Polls show the vast majority of us are against what is happening to our neighbors. So why are we doing it? Why are we not demanding that, instead of this un-American atrocity, we start creating legitimate paths to citizenship?

These people aren't criminals; they are doing everything they were asked, trying to make a better life for themselves and their family, paying taxes, participating in American life. Are we not, in countless ways, worse off for doing this?

The act of being undocumented is not by itself a crime. Whether immigrants came here five years ago or twenty years ago, who really cares? How are we safer, or better off in any way, by kidnapping and deporting law-abiding people whose work and contribution actually benefits us?

Why are we doing this? Why are we as Americans doing this?

The only answer from Republicans: because these people are here illegally.

Here's my response to that: So what?

These are ordinary people, our friends and neighbors. And yet, these are the people that Miller's army of ICE thugs are abducting in the cruelest ways possible to make their mass deportation quotas.

I just have one question about all of it:

Why?

- a family of farm workers who do backbreaking work picking strawberries,
- countless people rounded up outside courtrooms where they came to do the right thing,
the list could go on for thousands of pages.
These aren't in any way violent criminals, the "worst of the worst."

We've all read the stories:
- a beloved fifth-grade teacher,
- a street vendor who's been selling ice cream in the same spot for 20 years,
- a grandfather who's a pillar of the community having owned a popular restaurant for decades,
- an elderly woman taking her grandchildren to school,

The largest space in Buckingham Palace (an actual palace) is the ballroom. Trump's monstrosity would hold about five of them.

If given the chance, I'd lose my legs all over again to serve in our great military.

The leader of your party is a five-time draft dodger who has fired more Veterans than any other president in our history.

Square that circle then tell me who really hates our military.
A coincidence? Walker Percy's "The Last Gentleman" is about a character whose life changes when he becomes involved with the Vaught family.
More accurately: "...saying we're going to pay a 158, 157 percent tax on stuff we buy from you is a nicer way of saying 'DAMN I'm a fucking idiot.'"

Where Vought got the authority? If you asked him, he'd probably say "Jesus." Being a fascist zealot and a religious fanatic is what makes this creature and his fellows especially dangerous.
Dear Norwegian Nobel Committee,

Please don't.

No, really. We're not kidding. We beg you.

Please don't.

Sincerely,
The Peace-Loving People of Earth.
"The President wants to help these local leaders who have been completely ineffective in securing their own cities."

Problem: They did not ask for any "help." They are saying that Trump's military invasion should stay the hell away.
Wow. Talk about corporate blather speak. This could have been an announcement of anything.
