Attending NYCC 2025?
Love DC comics?
Despise the continuing failure editors have made of the character of Jon Kent?

Here is your playbook, friends and companions.
You CAN make a difference- the DC idiocracy needs to hear your voice!

Your NYCC De-Age Jon Kent guide awaits!
rpglover.bsky.social
Please, continue.

You must be the only soul thinking positively about fake, aged up Jon Kent.

Everyone else continues to wish for the Jon Kent age reversion. Please, think about that inevitability as well.

Thanks!
rpglover.bsky.social
This was expected, really.

Giving fake, artificially aged up Jon Kent any kind of love interest, either Imra Ardeen or Jay Nakamura, would never be successful.

A zero-level characterization gains nothing when a companion is added- it simply stays at zero.
Thus for the failure, aged up Jon Kent.

July sales data, ICV2: “Secret Six” 5th issue.
Surprise: issue 5 did NOT rank in the top 200 comics of the month…
Fail. Fail. Fail. That’s all DC can do with fake, aged up Jon Kent.
Can’t plot, write, or edit this aged up IP, be it physical or Webtoon.

June sales data, ICV2: “Secret Six” 4th issue.
Issue 4-did NOT rank in the top 200 comics of the month…

Any comic with fake, aged up Jon Kent fails.
De-age Jon Kent, save the IP.

May sales data, ICV2: “Secret Six” 3rd issue.

Issue 3- did not rank in the top 200 comics of the month.

Fans despise fake, aged up Jon Kent- age revert the character, DC idiocracy.

As always, the best use for any fake, aged up Jon Kent story is an age reversion.

That would allow the character to actually find fans, good plot concepts and profitability as an IP.

Jon Kent:
DC editors/staff allowed Bendis to publish the kidnap and years-long torture of an 11 yr old child.
DC editors/staff allowed Waid to publish the kidnap and torture (and cyborging) of a 17 yr old child.

Kidnapping and torture are fun to joke about, Sam Camp-right?

DC- still failing fans

I did not expect a gem of an article!
- acknowledging the best version of Jon Kent was young Jon
- confirming the fan majority did not (still do not) like aged Jon “…fans saw this as the moment DC began to lose its direction with the character…”

Superman’s Son Just Made History But In the Worst Way Possible
This month marks ten years since Superman’s son, Jonathan Samuel Kent, was introduced to the DC Universe, and what a wild decade it’s been.

Sadly, when it comes to aged up Jon Kent, the publication of Secret Six was the “it can get worse” lesson.

Which is why, this title is not purchased by fans.
rpglover.bsky.social
I like the irony!

“Let’s have DC editors demonstrate just how incredibly poorly they understand the character of Jon Kent, and the majority of his fans…”

Very clever.

Looking forward to the “Metropolis and Beyond” panel…
What could revealed?
-Jon Kent age reversion plans?
-a written apology to fans from the editorial staff for continuing with fake, aged up Jon Kent?
-an apology from staff for the publication of Shazam issue 20?

Can’t wait!

No matter the social media platform, when the phrase “the writing is great” is associated with AoS: Jon Kent, the critique jettisons all credibility.
-A poor plot concept, recycled from the previous failed title featuring Jon Kent
-bad characterization
-poor dialogue
-inexplicable character actions
rpglover.bsky.social
Apologies- this statement about AoS: Jon Kent is entirely incorrect.

If not for good art, excellent colors and fine letters, this title would not have reached “Poor” as a rating.

Plot, script, dialogue, editing, concept- dumpster bait.
rpglover.bsky.social
Jon Kent was artificially aged to 17 after spending years as a hostage.

The difficulties aren’t with Jon, but with a DC editorial team that continues to push a poorly conceived, badly written characterization.
Aged up Jon is terrible-thus the majority of discerning fans wish for an age reversion.
rpglover.bsky.social
Except any web comic featuring fake, aged up Jon Kent.

That could be the opposite of “good.
rpglover.bsky.social
If Jon Kent was aged gracefully over a period of years-trained, growing in experience and sexuality-DC would have benefited from a font of stories while carrying forward a generation of paying readers.

But, no- they screwed it up, still have screwed it up, despite the very few undiscerning fans.
rpglover.bsky.social
Excellent comments.
Bendis was doing what writers do: pushing the envelope.
I have no issue with story concepts he proposed-I maintain DC editorial staff was (and remains) incompetent, poor in job skills, lacking understanding in what attracts their customers, for green-lighting those stories.

Pardon me- please, continue eating…
Small rabbit on a brick path
rpglover.bsky.social
Appreciate the hard work by the creative team- yet despise the subject, fake and artificially aged up Jon Kent.

DC editors remain imbecilic, to push aged up Jon Kent content to fans that resoundingly reject the aged up version.
rpglover.bsky.social
There are no fans of note who would place any actor in that role.
The large remainder Superman fans avoid fake, aged up Jon Kent… the greatest DC publishing failure of the past 8 years.
Only undiscerning/supremely shallow comic readers entertain that any aged up Jon story is worth the purchase cost.
rpglover.bsky.social
Young Jon Kent-yes.

Fake, aged up imbecilic Jon Kent- no.
rpglover.bsky.social
Thanks for the reply, and acceptance. It’s tough, sometimes, to critically interpret material that aligns with one’s personal opinion.
But, Timm’s art, Maiolo’s colors and Sharpe’s letters can’t save SOKE… suck remains pure suck, when plot/editing fail.
rpglover.bsky.social
Fake Jon, the artificially aged up failure despised by most comic fans, is no eidolon, to be touted in this poorly scripted, badly edited tripe.

Supporting Jon as a gay groundbreaker, absolutely- as a 17 year old, posturing cinder in the failed SOKE title- very much, no.
rpglover.bsky.social
Hmm- is that rhetorical, or do we want the failures of fake, aged up Jon Kent cratering even further, as a big screen feature?

DC/WBD has enough issues, rather than to dredge their largest comic failure of the past few years.
But, thanks.

This message from Jim Shooter (RIP EIC) has crossed the decades from last century to galvanize the editorial suite at DC publishing.

Start doing good comics, DC editors.
‘Nuff said.
