Adding to all the snow pics today. Bicycle season is definitely over now. Hopefully by springtime the paths closed for construction will be open and i can get off all the roads!

When it comes to arguments against immortality, I don't buy the "you'd get bored and want to die" one at all. Yeah, people actually do get tired of being old and capabilities fading away. But if we're talking immortality with quality, then no, definitely don't think I'd get terminally bored.

As a business it makes sense to have a standard product and additional options. But if you can't support rare options, maybe don't offer things you can't do correctly?

Poked at ffvii remake today and realized this kind of game is another genre i completely missed. Just like I somehow avoided all the 3d platformers of the ps1/n64 era, action rpgs have totally passed me by these last 2 decades of mmos.
So anyway I set it to easy on the first miniboss. Much better

Think some are surprised to see me in xiv still. Stopping raids wasn't from zero time, it's was because the raids were during the best & most sustainable study times and used a lot of brain. Still need brain-off time in stuff like xiv to recover from work and studying at the end of a day or week

This is something i need to highlight for artist friends. I used to be able to see genAI clearly, then needed zooms, now the zoomed proof needs an artist's skill to interpret which i don't have. It might still jump out to an artist, but it looks fine to the untrained eye now. It's not obvious
AI slop sucks but there's so much & hard to tell. AI callout posts with zoomed in proof, I can't see what the proof is anymore. It'd waste too much time trying to spot it, one of those "terrorists win" self-own situations

About a year of the project reduction project. So, how's it going? Well, lesson 1: don't backfill with new projects until you're actually ready (4 posts)
I'm bad about starting too many projects when I'm feeling great, then getting overwhelmed later & finishing none. So I started a project-reduction project to reduce the projects & focus on the most relevant things at the time.
Glad it's actually working & isn't just one more project on the pile XD
