Here’s the thing:

Independent bookstores aren’t *just* bookstores. They are pillars of their communities and supporting them means supporting all of the incredible work they do beyond selling books.

They’re invaluable. Am*zon is not.

Today my BFF and I spent the day on Tancook Island picking up trash. We picked up over 3,000 lbs of trash, 1,600 of which was tires. It was a really good day! And I scored a 24 year old wooden lobster trap!

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers' members aren’t just fighting for a contract, they’re defending a public postal system that connects people, drives local economies, & supports equity across Canada.

Canada’s unions stand in full solidarity. They deserve a fair deal.

Mental health care is health care and it must be public.

Workers are burned out, stressed, and struggling to access care. Privatization won’t fix the crisis—investment in public systems will. #MentalHealthAwareness

Reading The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by @sgj.bsky.social. Wow. What an awesome book. “I’ve heard our elders and many-faces men and even chiefs say that it’s the napikwans who are ruining the world, but napikwans are just what happens when we forget we’re Pikuni.” #booksky

We combed through the records and found that Poilievre has voted against workers over 500 times. One throwaway line about workers doesn’t undo that record. It’s not a slip-up, it’s a strategy. Poilievre’s platform shows he’s determined to leave workers behind. #Elxn45
