One of my great joys this year has been launching Tiny Cat Press (tinycatpress.com), which will focus on handmade, limited-edition chaps. I'm already itching to find the next tiny book to make! (But I just started a semester, so maybe that's a bad idea right this minute.)

To celebrate a new year, I launched a new little imprint to focus on handmade, limited edition chaps. These first two titles probably won't last much longer, so grab your copies.
New year, new press: To kick off 2026, I'm launching Tiny Cat Press, a platform for handmade, limited edition chaps. I spent the last few weeks sewing books and now they're ready. Check out titles from Jason Gray and Sara Shea. tinycatpress.com

Tonight's moon is bonkers, and I'm qualified to say so because I'm a poet.

Had coffee with a new friend and conversation turned to Twitter. I said I love Bluesky because don't miss all the outrage and the constant hot takes, the algorithmic amplification of rage. He said he doesn't-- he misses the community, because Bluesky hasn't captured that. We're both right. Sigh.

When Leo and I went to see Titanic, we were kind of bored with the story so about an hour in we started pounding on our armrests, whispering "Sink the boat!"
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Thinking back on GI Joe, why didn't Dr. Mindbender wear a shirt? What kind of doctor was he? Was he providing medical care without a shirt on?

Today I learned that Tommy Tutone was a band and not a silly stage name for an individual artist. I am SHOOK.

I have recognized that little fills me with rage as much as a professional who, in 2025, still does not know how Zoom works.

Man, you gotta love a company whose automated phone tree sends you to the wrong department when you tell it what you need help with, then sends you back to the automated phone tree when well-meaning customer service folks in that dept. attempt to transfer you to the right place.
