Getting older and grumpier. Fed up by the ongoing decline of my world. So I'll sometimes find it difficult to avoid politics. I do love nature, culture and travel and so that's where I'll probably post most. Photos mostly taken on my phone!

Definitely final preparations being made for hibernation - we've helped out a bit with a hibernation box, lots of food and even collecting leaves for the hog to select from.

Been gathering leaves and eating in equal measure. Good to see this chap has put on some weight in recent couple of weeks -youngster was quite a late developer I think. Now looking well prepared for a comfy hibernation in our box.

Todays walk resulted in a rather horrible 2 bags of broken glass. All in the inter-tide zone, so quite possibly a danger to swimmers and pets.

Some churches are unbelievably magnificent. But I think i can understand some of the dynamics of the Reformation. John Knox would not have approved.

Arrivals at #EdinburghAirport are some of the grimest ive experienced anywhere in the world.
The passport control housed in a converted farm warehouse; ridiculous queues for the passport readers; the baggage reclaim being the slowest on the planet...
