Hi! I'm Rose. I write spec fic & love stories. I also do art & sew & make short movies. If you do/like any of these, say hi. Tell me about what you also do/like. (Is this how to make friends on the internet?)

Also, here are my books. Aren't they cute? (Cover art: Gega Datunashvili & Passant Ablal)
Note that the No Kings march (11am - 1pm at the Federal Courthouse) and the Las Vegas Book Festival are basically going to be right next to each other, so if you love books and you also want to show your love for your country by peacefully demonstrating, you can do both.
Been waiting for spooky season so I can wear these @noho_nails, which I looove. Very excited to sport them at the Las Vegas Book Festival today. I will be selling books and saying hi at a table on the north side near the library.

"It is ridiculous that antifa has become this boogeyman. If they're going to tell us they are going to find the founder of Antifa, isn't the founder of Antifa...Winston Churchill? FDR? Didn't they lead a war against fascism? Wasn't that anti-fascism?" - me

"Maricruz" shared this photo of a beautiful bunch of wine grapes. During the peak season from August through October, she is out harvesting in the Morgan Hills CA area for 8 hours a day on an almost daily basis. She is proud of her work. #WeFeedYou

Tylenol does not cause autism, but also realize that the anxiety and fear about autism is fundamentally a type of ableism. It's okay for people to be autistic!

It's grape picking season and "Alma" works 7-8 hours a day in the Madera CA area. She is picking a special black grape for wine. She gets paid minimum wage and no benefits despite temps being above 100°. She doesn't have a choice. Her work feeds her family. #WeFeedYou #CALOR

UFW remembers Rene Lopez who sacrificed his life for La Causa (1962-1983) On Sept. 21, 1983, Rene Lopez, a worker at Sikkema Dairy near Fresno, was shot to death by company goons hired to harass the strikers who were attempting to bring in the UFW to represent them.

Farm workers in upstate NY shared this pic with us from where they were doing the final thinning and pruning before the apple harvest begins in late September. They tell us, sometimes they walk 5+ miles a day moving up and down these rows pruning the trees. #WeFeedYou

Once again…

Racism is not a different political opinion. It’s racism.
Love those days when I come back to a scene in my book that’s been difficult and that I was fairly sure was trash and discover it’s actually decent. Dare I say, great? At least at certain points.

Nothing says #July4 like a big juicy slice of watermelon. This yummy fruit doesn't just appear on our picnic table. It takes a lot of work. An average watermelon weighs 20 pounds. Can you imagine harvesting them in a 98° Bakersfield area field like these workers?

No money for schools and food and housing but always money for bombs and jets and Gestapo goons on our city streets. God have mercy on this bloodthirsty country and its bloodthirsty wars.

Saying there are “too many non-working holidays” on Juneteenth is so on brand for a man who is actively trying to erase Black history.

This from the same man who’s wasted over $26 million in taxpayer dollars and spent more than 30 days golfing since January 20, 2025? Please.

Wait. Adriana Smith's family has to pay all of the medical bills when she was kept on life support against the family's will in order to incubate a fetus because of ghoulish laws and wrong beliefs? They have to pay for that as well? THEY HAVE TO PAY THE MEDICAL BILLS???

How is this the world?

Always remember that Trump pressured his GOP puppets not to pass an immigration bill in 2024 because he wanted to politicize that issue in the election.

None of them cares whose lives they wreck.
