Me thinks it's time to dust off the psychology books vs the historical investing books. "Market conditions", "extreme valuations", "internal dispersion" only matter if the mass psyche cares. The trillion dollar question is "what will make it care?"

I was there. Lived it. Stock brokers cold calling everyone with tips ($JDSU, $DCLK, $CSCO, etc). SI (Silicon Investor), the /r/wallstreetbets of the time, on their screens. Paper millionaires up and down the hallways. Extravagant holiday parties. Free nightly catered dinners/beer. Crazy times.
