The brazen racism and cruelty of the Trump train is accelerating toward a cliff. The crash will be painful, but oh so necessary – and, for MAGA, so well-deserved. Unfortunately, it won’t just be Trump’s minions who suffer. But we shall rise again. Democracy will prevail. Decency will be restored.

I am increasingly concerned that these statements by Republicans in power that the 'Hate America' rally will be attended by violent left wing extremists is not just their normal idiocy but instead part of a plan to make it appear to be just so. Infiltrating protests is a well-honed tactic after all.

I've also received virtually free medical care in other countries. Think of what that says about our deeply embedded human goodness. Of course we take care of people in crisis! So think about what MAGA's objection to showing this barest form of human empathy says about them. Truly pathetic and sad.

Off-the-charts nuts. And it lends fuel to my very recent and troubling sense that their talk about the 'hate America' rally that will be attended by lawless mobs and left-wing terrorists is not simply their lunacy talking, but part of a plan to make it appear just so. Saturday could prove seminal.

If I could change a word in my post above, I'd change 'we shall rise AGAIN' to 'we shall rise ANEW.' We need to not just go back to what we had, which after all led to the current nightmare. We need to rebuild a stronger democracy and a more just government that is not ruled by greed and power lust.

It really does. Not only shows that they knew how their posts would be viewed if they were ever seen in the light of day, but also that they fully expected that day would never come. Hubris and racism and stupidity rolled into one stinking pile. And then they stepped in it and are forever stained.

Trump’s use of “we” here is, as they say, ‘doing a lot of work.’ I’m continually stunned at how brazen Trump is becoming. I believe overreach like this will be his downfall. But oh, the damage done along the way. And then we’ll ‘build back better’ as Joe Biden once said and, indeed, actually did.

That's an interesting scenario, ICE showing up on No Kings Day. Has there been talk of that? The famous flowers-in-the-gun-barrel photo from the Vietnam era protests comes to mind.

The French have a lot of revolutionary history and cred. So do we, at least the history part. Will we rise up again? I believe we will. It's just taking longer than it should to escape our deeply inured shackles of comfort and malaise.

Same here, Dixie. But boy does it take time and resolve. They made me jump through ridiculous hoops, repetitive requests, etc., before they relented on what should have been obvious. And yeah, Medicare rocks. We should all have it, like most civilized societies... wait, are we still in that club?

No doubt about it. Is anybody monitoring the timing of insider stock purchases and short sales relative to Trump's tariff decisions? I know that data is available, or at least used to be.

Just read this review or your Dark Star Rising. Very interesting. And it gives me a new way of viewing Trump that’s worthy of further exploration and contemplation. And the review is extremely well-written to boot.
