Habe heute erfahren, dass Lumière aus Die Schöne und das Biest im Original von demselben Schauspieler (Jerry Orbach) gesprochen wurde, der bei Dirty Dancing Babys Vater gespielt hat, und jetzt weiß ich auch nicht.

Bei allem was man dazu sagen kann finde ich es immer faszinierend, dass Faschisten, wenn man sie frei wählen lässt, sich immer für eine autofreie, fussgängerfreundliche Stadt mit Rad und Öffis entscheiden. (Bitte kann wer das Kind von den Schienen holen)

Die Erzählung ist ein wenig Liebeserklärung an New York in den 1930er Jahren: die Welt ist authentisch und kann die Atmosphäre gut zusammenfassen. Mühelos wirkt die Sprache in den Momenten und Augenblicken, und kann nicht nur die Abgründe der Großen Depression einfangen sondern auch Hoffnung geben, dass doch nicht alles verloren ist. Die Charaktere blenden sich hervorragend in die Geschichte und sind überzeugend geschrieben. Grandiose Partitur der Worte.
Lese-Empfehlung!

FWIW my brain finally de-foggied enough to listen to the new Taylor Swift album.

I don't understand why some people seem to hate it so much. It still has Taylor's handwriting all over it. She just wrote the songs from a really happy state of mind and it shows.
