My only #doctorwho take is that Dennis Spooner is the most influential 60s writer because he invented the tone: this has hardly ever gone away (though Whitaker and Nation obviously shaped other key elements)

Ngũgĩ and Ayi Kwei Armah (together in my undergraduate dissertation) and Buchi Emecheta and Ama Ata Aidoo (for essays before it). Sorry to lump together in one post such different journeys.

Revisiting Doom Patrol, the best superhero series (even more than Legends of Tomorrow). First season doing the Grant Morrison run but without the Penda's Fen references. Much neglected in the UK for distribution reasons (though not as messed about as Batwoman and the ace Superman & Lois).
