I found this juvenile swallow standing on a pole by the lake, waiting for his mother to bring him catches. He was offended that I refused to leave him alone, and couldn’t miss his lunch by flying away, therefore he had this defensive and annoyed looking.(Jun 2024) #swallows #birds #nature #wildlife

I was recording a clip of two yellow-vented bulbuls on a branch, when a larger bird boldly flew into the frame, and the two bulbuls gave up this position. I wondered why the bulbuls were so scared, and found that the larger bird is a brown shrike, aka butcher bird.
