Despite once being a mainstay of form & despite its persistence in popular song, rhyme has lost favour with many poets. Some eschew it on principle. Others, even those who use it, are nervous of it. To many it seems old-fashioned, trivial, nursery stuff

We had an unexpected but very welcome visitor today for Sunday brunch at Billeh's Rooftop Nut Cafe. This little red dropped by for an almond and a walnut, then took off across the street like a bullet, leaving a wee trail of dust behind him...and a 5-star review on our Yelp page!
