You are clearly not short sighted. A strike must be planned so it begins at a set time to spark support and reaction. It must be momentous. A strike with no set start is one guy walking off the job.

Show your badge and ID. Allow yourself to be photographed by bystanders. Show the arrest warrant required to detain a particular individual. Allow detainee free legal advice. Have plates on your vehicles so it can be legally tracked by lawyers for the individual.

Anything less is kidnapping.
