Iowa State Auditor, father, bowhunter, former prosecutor, pizza auditor. Running to be Iowa's next Governor.

Public servant, not a politician.
Reproductive freedom is personal, and decisions should be made only by a woman with the advice of her doctor, her family, and her faith - not by the government.

From growing cancer rates to higher costs on almost everything & nearly the lowest personal income growth in the US, Iowa is facing major issues. We can't elect another politician beholden only to their party leadership. I'll do what's best for Iowa - regardless of what a political party asks of me.

We’ve got to be honest about where things stand. Iowa hospitals are tied for last in the country in terms of quality. We need leaders who make it easier for families to get the care they need & for health care workers to stay & serve our communities. www.hospitalsafetygrade.org/media/file/S...

When the turkey was so good you need help holding your head up.

Thanksgiving should be time spent with loved ones reflecting on gratitude, not picking political fights with your family.

Signs of change.

The more that we can do for each other, the better off our whole state is. HUSH is a statewide initiative with hunters donating meat to help feed those in need across Iowa.

Hearing reports about two National guardsmen shot today. My thoughts are with them both and their families.

Great work! Although, "Iowa ethical" doesn't have the same ring to it as Iowa nice, it can be even more important. www.desmoinesregister.com/story/money/...

We are seeing it in every corner of the state: Iowans are fed up with the direction our state is headed & with elected officials who refuse to do anything about it. I'm ready to do something about it - are you? RobSand.com/Volunteer

This will set back efforts to attract health care professionals to Iowa. www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/n...
Nursing is not a 'professional degree' amidst student loan changes
Nursing isn't considering a professional degree for the purposes of student loans. Will this impact the industry?

Fighting for fairness in the lives of Iowa families and making government serve regular people is what public service is all about - I've done it as Assistant Attorney General. I've done it as State Auditor. I'll keep doing it as your governor.

Public money should require public oversight. Iowa's voucher program has no oversight requirements.

We need skilled labor and training in the trades.

As Governor, I'm committed to expanding and promoting these opportunities.

This race isn't about making Iowa redder or bluer. It's about making Iowa better and truer. Iowans of every political stripe are coming together to support this campaign because they are ready for a new direction.

Remember when the United States announced that China had agreed to finally buy some soybeans, even at a significantly smaller level than in prior years? Well, that doesn't appear to have been truthful.

Being your government watchdog is a badge I wear with honor. I'm proud to have uncovered record amounts of waste, fraud, and abuse as State Auditor, and I want to continue to put money back in your pocket as your governor.

What affects your family affects mine. Making your paycheck stretch further, supporting rural communities, and promoting good jobs across the state - that's my goal as governor.

My record speaks for itself. As auditor, I've held both parties responsible for playing politics with tax dollars & that doesn't change if I'm elected governor.
