One thing I really like about Destined is how easy it is to mix with other Mythras settings. You can pull combat options, magic systems, creatures, or even whole scenarios from Mythras fantasy or sci-fi. Supers one week, cosmic horror or street crime the next.

Did you get to read it? What are your thoughts on it?

What I like most is how powers are handled. Flexible, logical, and not buried under endless options. It feels easier to run and easier to improvise than many supers games. Solid pick if you like crunch with control.

Continuing with superhero RPGs, Destined really caught my eye. It’s built on the Mythras d100 engine, so it keeps that grounded, skill based feel even with super powers in play. Combat stays dangerous, choices matter, and heroes feel human.

Been checking out Stalwart ’85 and I love how indie, simple, and fun it feels. Core rules are lean and you’re in action fast. Has that old-school flavor but doesn’t bog you down in pages of math. Right now it’s PWYW!

Remembering my old copy of WG5 Mordenkainen’s Fantastic Adventure, now lost to time. I read it back in the day and it stuck with me(never got to run it). Greyhawk politics, rival factions, and a dungeon that cared more about choices than combat. Smart play mattered here.

A friend of mine is about to run Cyberpunk Red, so my brain immediately went into maker mode. Planning to build a simple bullet counter app in Flutter. Just taps, mags, and running out of ammo at the worst possible moment. Feels very on brand.

Coming out of a long hiatus, vacations are awesome, and I finally cracked open Pirate Borg. It’s fast, brutal, and dripping with cursed seas and bad decisions. Same doom vibe as Mörk Borg, but with rum, cannons, and mutiny. Easy to run, easy to die. Love it.

Best NPCs are always the accidental ones. The guard with no name. The innkeeper you made up in five seconds. The random merchant with a weird voice. Players latch onto them, and suddenly they matter more than your carefully planned villains. Funny how that works.

First adventure memories hit different. Mine was Palace of the Silver Princess many decades ago. Died to a surprise crossbow bolt from two female thieves in a side room, Candella and Duchess. Lesson learned fast. What was your first run?

I steal ideas from video games all the time for my RPGs. A cool boss fight, a quest twist, a weird location, even the pacing of a dungeon. Games already solved a lot of problems we face at the table, so why not borrow what works and tweak it.

Thinking about my holiday gaming plans now that December hits tomorrow. Hoping to squeeze in a few sessions, try a winter one-shot, and maybe catch up on some books I’ve been meaning to read. Slow month, cozy games.

Thanksgiving-themed adventure ideas, keeping them weird, fun, and OSR-friendly:

• A harvest spirit demands the “true tithe” this year: something more than grain.
• A pilgrim caravan arrives with blessings… and a curse hidden in their wagons.

Happy Thanksgiving! Grateful for my players, the stories we build, and the chaos that comes from one bad dice roll. Every campaign turns into a memory worth keeping. Hope your table’s full of food, friends, and critical hits.

Been using AI lately to build quick NPCs and sample dialogue for my sessions. It’s great for prep , fleshes out side characters fast, helps find their voice, and gives me lines to tweak before game night. Always good to have a few surprises ready.

Don’t punish players for choices, just let the world react honestly. Help someone today, they might save you later… or resent the debt. It’s not about being fair. It’s about making things feel real.

Games hit harder when choices matter. Not just “good or evil,” but why someone does it and what it costs. A burned bridge, a lost ally, or the town that remembers what you did. Consequences give weight to dice rolls.

Coyote & Crow is a sci-fi fantasy RPG developed by First Nations devs, where colonization of the Americas never happened and indigenous peoples advanced into high-tech societies. Players explore a world of tradition, innovation, and destiny shaped by their communities. #ttrpg #FirstNations

Great idea..and just repurpose HOHH tables!

The trick is not making it about the timeline, it’s about memory. What the characters remember, what they forget, and what they can’t change even when they know how it ends. Keeps players guessing, every session.

Been playing with chronomancy and time travel in my current game, and it’s wild how it changes everything. NPCs can lie across time, prophecies turn into puzzles, and choices echo backward as much as forward.
