“I don’t have time to meditate” is the lamest excuse.

You had time to read this post. So you have time to meditate.

Stop distracting yourself. Just sit.

Stop rushing through your yoga practice. Stop rushing through your life.

Pause. Feel. Breathe.

Yin Yoga is the true test of presence.

Any fool can fill their day with distractions.

But it takes real courage to sit in silence.

Don’t be a fool. Be brave.

Your overthinking is just a symptom.

The real problem is the tension your body holds that your mind refuses to let go of.

You won’t think your way out of it. Start with your body.

99% of your stress comes from fighting reality.

Let go.

Once you stop resisting, you’ll see the peace that’s been here all along.

Multitasking is a scam.

You’re not getting more done. You’re just doing more things poorly.
Unitasking is the real flex.

Slow down. Truly do one thing at a time.

You’ll get more done and feel even better while doing it.

I never believed in Christmas miracles...

That is, until my wife asked ChatGPT to create a cyberpunk anime of us celebrating Christmas with our pet capybara.

Happy Christmas, everyone!

Mindfulness isn’t something you do.

It’s a way of life.

Every moment is practice:
~ Sitting in traffic.
~ Drinking your coffee.
~ Washing your dishes.

Stop confining your practice to certain times, and start living it as the core of your identity.

Modern people aren’t more stressed out because their life is harder.

They’re more stressed out because they refuse to slow down.

Stillness isn’t optional anymore.

It’s the only way to survive.

Transformation never happens all at once.

It happens moment by moment. Breath by breath.

Be patient. Each step of your practice is a step towards freedom.

Most people say they want peace.

But when they try to sit still, they freak the f¥ck out.

Stillness isn’t a problem. But your resistance to it is.

You have to practice it each and every day.

People think meditation is supposed to make them feel calm.
It often doesn’t.

But it will teach you to sit with what’s uncomfortable until you see the peace within it.

That’s true freedom.

Most people try to numb their stress with distractions.

But it will never settle if you always feed your brain new input.

Make space to sit in stillness.

Then your stress will finally have the room it needs to regulate itself naturally.

Life is better when you actually pay attention to it.

Try this:
~ Do chores without music.
~ Sit in a park without your phone.
~ Go for a walk without headphones.

Presence is where true contentment lives.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

A restless mindfulness session always beats a mindless doomscrolling session.

Transformation in your practice isn’t supposed to feel good.

The challenge is a sign that it’s working.

Peace is waiting on the other side of that challenge that you’re resisting.

These days, if you're not constantly on your phone, you look like a weirdo.

Be the weirdo, my friends.

How to find clarity: Stillness.

How to ease stress: Stillness.

How to reconnect to yourself: Stillness.

Stillness is where the real magic of life happens.

If your version of 'waking up' involves anything other than your actual experience, it's not really waking up.

It's just moving into a different dream.

When I started Yin Yoga, I was a mess.

~ I couldn’t sit still.
~ I fidgeted in every pose.
~ I daydreamed through half the class.

But eventually, practice broke through all those patterns.

And I’ve never looked back since.
