We have a low bridge [about 20/25miles away & it's for-ever getting hit by lorries or buses ..... though I haven't heard of it being hit recently .......... <<crunch>> :) :)

Even if they pay above min., many around here enforce that they only employ those using the farm accom. & transport & translation services [line supervisor translates to those who can't/won't speak English] - all these services have to be paid for - even lunch & snack/drinks during the working day

My 221R is a MuTek but I can't remember if the original or the Mk2 [Nottingham] ~ I had both but only kept one! It's not been fired up in many a moon :) - The 251e which you have is a nice radio much better than many of the modern radios

WOW!! That's some shack! Mine is about 3m [not quite square but near enough!] internally - it's packed as are other areas of the sheds! I have an 830s tucked away & a 221R [looks like you have one but not sure what's nest to it - a bit smaller on video. Nice kit & good enough to be a museum!

Ah! Thanks for the points & contact - I used to be on every one but that & all the other contests got too much & than I had some serious water leakage into the shack & couldn't find the source. I think I've found it ..... at last some 18m / 2yrs on. I need to throw the resident spiders out now!!

I had one on the lawn a few years ago! I don't recall the bobbing up & down but all other aspects look very similar ~ sadly I can't access the pic at the moment, the data transfer lead/socket on the HDD has just failed this morning :(

Hi John thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm going back circa 60 yrs !! Our lovely summer holidays in a quaint cottage on the moor. I returned a few years ago & was horrified to see what had been done to the cottage ~ it was also, up for sale & the cost almost knocked me over ... Life moves on!! :( :(
