Tree-mallow Tortrix on the store window, probable immigrant. Fumbled the pot, but fortunately thought to take a picture before trying. Diamond-back also a likely immigrant. Rhomboid Tortrix in the garden trap. And a Double-striped Pug. VC25. #teammoth.

NFY Black Rustic in the VC25 garden trap this morning. I was beginning to wonder if I would see one this year. Barred Sallow, Brindled Green and Rusty-dot Pearl all window shopping. #teammoth.

A couple of mines from my Chantry Park VC25 walk today. Obs is sure that the first is Hornbeam parornix (P. carpinella). That's either a rare or rarely recorded moth in Suffolk, if correct. And Orange-spotted miner (Chrysoesthia sexgutella) on Chenopodium album. See what the CMR thinks. #teammoth.

There are some moths on the wing in every month. Not very many in the winter though.

Two NFY Large Ranunculus on my Needham Market VC25 walk today. The Frosted Orange is still there six days after I last saw it. #teammoth.

I have read The Long Dry by Cynan Jones.

I was surprised to see Latticed Heath and Toadflax Brocade in the VC25 garden trap this morning. As far as I can see there are no Suffolk records for either on this date. Can that be right? And a Blair's Shoulder-knot on the store window. #teammoth.

I have read The Last Days of New Paris by China Miéville.

On the VC25 furniture store window today were Orange Sallow and Barred Sallow. Both NFY. I suppose that both the Pale Mottled Willow and Turnip Moth could be migrants. #teammoth.

I have read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

This morning's VC25 park walk produced Pale Birch Tortrix (Acleris logiana) at the bus stop and a Garden Carpet in the subway. #teammoth.

I do worry that I am on their CCTV every morning, wandering around with my phone and occasionally looking very excited and weird.
