It's weird how the people who make "the hard decisions" are pretty much *never* affected by those decisions themselves.
The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Fountains are good, as someone suggested, and also try different containers. I found that certain ceramic bowls are much more pleasing and my little old girl will haul herself up a flight of stairs for her favorite bowl (where she spends more time anyway). Also maybe buy a jug of spring water.
