Passthroughs are (generally) for permanent builds. If the camper never parts from the truck frame, it's not that hard to add a portal from the driving area to the living area. Bolts, glue, and sealants are acceptable mounting materials to isolate this passageway from cold, noise, and moisture. #diy

The heater is broken.
It actually happened a while ago. We were driving out of Tahoe, descending into Nevada, when the truck suddenly seemed to spaz out. The acceleration became sluggish, and something else was just not quite right...

We just discovered what the local squirrels have known all along: there are some quality pecans growing on these trees.

Just a reminder to all my outdoorsy friends: state parks are delightful and staffed right now! That means bathrooms that get refreshed and trash bins that get emptied.
If you must visit a federal space, pack out what you pack in and have contingencies when nature calls.

Well, it’s been almost three weeks since my first 100 miler was canceled mid-race. I think I’m ready to start looking for some fall race to to cap off this years training.
Maybe a 50 miler or a 50k? I just don’t want to end the season on a sour note.

Last year, we spent over two weeks at altitude.
It's fascinating to experience the body going through change. Camping at 10,000 ft started out as a struggle. We couldn't do much more than walk around the campground and make our meals without being winded.
