When the old man is 17 and has a chronic illness that we manage every day, it's hard to imagine good news coming from any vet visit, but his numbers changed in the good direction this time! What we're doing is working. And most importantly, he seems happy and engaged (esp. at 3:30 am). 😻 #cats

Personally, I appreciated the opportunity to learn that I am considered the "loaded gun of Leviathan." At least I think he means me. He also makes me and my colleagues sound a bit like black mold, quietly lurking in the dark before potentially growing back bigger and bolder than before.

A colleague suggested that higher ed institutions might be more willing to provide this type of opportunity because of the broader pressure campaign they're facing from the administration. That thought gave me a serious "ick" response.

The plot is a fraud aimed at legitimizing the theft of Ukrainian property, and involves such tricks as changing the address so that owners can’t claim they once lived there. As a result, property that Ukrainians have spent years paying off can easily fall into Russian hands.
