You did it! Thanks to everyone who raised their voice in support of blocking the discharge of tritiated wastewater into the Hudson from #IndianPoint. NY Attorney General has filed an appeal in Holtec’s challenge of the Save the Hudson Act 🔗 Latest updates: riverkeeper.org/indianpoint
Riverkeeper was featured in the New York Post on the #HarlemRiver’s new “swimmable” label. Our Legal Director Mike Dulong notes the river still gets 2B gallons of sewage and runoff each year — and that won’t change without action. 🗞️ Read more: https://ow.ly/Uisy50XiwVG

📋 Indian Point update: On Oct. 17, a federal judge affirmed its decision overturning the Save the Hudson Act, the state law that blocked radioactive discharges into the river. It’s not over — NY’s Attorney General has until Nov. 17 to file an appeal. Learn more: https://ow.ly/8h9F50XgYb3
🗣️ Take action for the Hudson! New York Attorney General Letitia James plans to appeal the federal ruling that would let Holtec dump radioactive wastewater into the river. 👉 Your voice matters — help keep the wind in her sails: https://ow.ly/O1e150XfMYF
Riverkeeper thanks Governor Kathy Hochul for saying "no" to the idea of repowering the decommissioned Indian Point nuclear power plant. Proposals to bring nuclear power back to Indian Point ignore the substantial remediation needed to rid the site of its current radioactive contamination.

Did you know that New York City dumps 21 billion gallons of raw sewage into local waterways (including the Hudson River) every year? ❌💩🌧️

It doesn’t have to be this way, and we’re advocating for improvements at the local and state levels.

Participated in @riverkeeper.org’s annual #Riverkeepersweep yesterday! Our group removed over 40lbs of trash from ~300’ of the Bushwick Inlet. Scrounging for “treasures” under rocks was satisfying, esp. when wedged pieces required some gumption and brawn 😂 Great group of folks. Good haul 🦾

Riverkeeper in great company advocating for the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act! #PeopleOverPlastic
Had a great time advocating for the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act with @beyondplastics.bsky.social and @riverkeeper.org on Tuesday. Very grateful for the volunteers from Westchester County who came up to make their voices heart. And thanks to Senate Sepulveda for supporting!
