For sure, my point is that Disney is quick to blame the IP rather than examining some other missteps they made. Like casting a very weak lead actor and giving it to such a bland director. Didn't do much to generate interest to begin with.

Scapegoating the IP feels like the easy way out to me.

Regardless of how you feel about the movie I think some creative decisions sabotaged the buzz from the very start...
It never stood a chance at the box office.

Blaming a "lack of audience interest in the Tron franchise" is such an easy way out. 🤔💀🦈
