As is Garrus Vakarian by the way
What if I have enough money and a privileged upbringing to delude myself that I am one. What then, huh.
It did seem to end with Revachol getting nuked in the continuity of the novel, although Shivers implies it is preventable iirc
It's a lot better than it was in 2016.
/r/CirclejerkSopranos only toned it down after they got a warning from the admins
Reddit is kinda interesting because they have been ridiculing Kirk since the moment he hit the ground basically, and no one is really commenting on it.
They actually think the Empire are like, oppressive communists
SCOTUS justices regularly enjoy luxurious meals without anyone bothering them, you think eg Ellison will be even mildly inconvenienced?
It wasn't that long ago! It's more or less the same people.

And I'm sorry, but the implication (unless I'm misreading) that liberals will resort to armed violence against the media elites is silly, the Republicans have the armed terrorist demographic.
Lots of talk about how this will have a permanent effect on how the corporate media is viewed when they faced no repercussions for the invasion of Iraq.
Part of the issue is that you can't comprehend 50,000 people dying by guns as anything but a statistic.

Is...this how Stefan Zweig felt?
Anyway I understand why people might turn their back on it but I am a child in all ways imaginable of late 20th/early 21st century multiculturalism so telling me it was all a lie and never existed/never should exist is insane to me.
Absolutely including people who broadly agree with me ideologically there. Anyone who wishes to regulate or deregulate drugs of abuse must have technical expertise on pharmacology or toxicology right
Lots of people, even supposed liberals, who demand you know every minutiae on guns (but never the public health aspect) to set gun policy who set drug policy while having a middle school understanding of drugs
As /r/circlejerksopranos goes, so goes the nation.
Or maybe he just doesn't have the energy for much anymore. CHF probably contributed there.
Serious talk, if it was an emergency/something acute that required hospitalization it would have probably leaked by now. Could be a planned surgery, I think they would have the time to cover that up in advance.
"It's inevitable. This door's wide open now. It's gonna happen, whether you like it or not. This is the future and it's now."
That's entirely the issue, the regulatory hurdles are caused from incrementalist solutions to try and appease everyone.
Call it preemptive self defense.
I think they should legalize the use of ATGMs against the personal vehicles of arms manufacturer execs. It's responsible gun ownership in my book.
No one who actually whinges about firearm classification would want this solution because they don't actually want to entirely limit access to semiautomatics. It's why there's also this discussion about the minutiae of semiautomatic rifles and not crew-served weaponry.
If you don't have a regulatory state that is willing to employ violence to enforce a regulation, you don't have a state at all. Might as well spill some nuclear waste into water reservoirs.
It's the same bullshit with trying to list every potential new psychoactive substance so that kids don't OD on some new fentanyl analogue.
And Norway has banned it since. Don't engage with the need to have a clear cut classification scheme, that's what gun nuts want you to do so they can circumvent the scheme.
