3) Never walk slower than 18:30 m/mi, or for more than 5 minutes.
This is a goal for when all has failed. I can accomplish this even at my worst. But I’ve only ever done it in much worse conditions. This race is flat as a day old glass of Coke. That’s in my favor.

4) 5:59:59.
I have multiple goals:
1) 10 miles in two hours. This is very achievable and would set me up to finish even if I average 15 for the next 16 miles.

2) 15 mi in 3 hours. The only two hills of note come between 9 and 15 miles. If I can pull 15 in 3 hours, though, then I can average worse than 15 on.

It’s two hours to race time. Am I panicked? Yeah. Am I confident I’ll fail? Yup. Am I gonna try anyway? Yuppers.

Here’s the plan. Try to stick at 12m/mi as long as I can. Once I lose it, jog. If I lose that, run walk.
Was it oatmeal “and something” or a true, pure, blessed, oatmeal only cookie?
Just drove 2.5 hours from Maryland into Delaware to get to a different, flatter part of Maryland.
How can you say that in front of Judd Hirsh?

Well, here we are. Ran well despite the 10-15 cat punctures in my leg. Certainly not aiming for much more than 12 per tomorrow. Everything depends on how much time I have left at 15 miles. If it’s 3 hours, I can do it.
What does that mean for me? I honestly don’t know. Hilly or no, 26 miles is a lot for a fat old man like me. But I have to hope for the best, because that’s what I’m in to.
It’s 25 hours until I’m on the road in Ocean City! This will be the second hardest race of my life after last year’s Baltimore marathon. The real question is: how hard will it be. The truth is, Baltimore is MUCH harder than OC due to its brutal hills. OC is flatter overall than my daily course.
Tales of Xillia is one of my favorites from a main character perspective, but Jude really gets a shitty ending.
Poor ol Andy Windsor, put out on the street by his own kinfolk. He’ll always have a home in the White House…no, wait, they tore that part down.
Less than two days and I was just attacked by a cat. Punctures all over my lower right leg. But they’re small. My dog’s all bloodied up

Rest

Yup, two days to go, and it’s 50 and pouring rain. Weather is about the same in the very flood prone Ocean City. No reason for it to ruin the race. Weather should dry up tomorrow, before we make the three hour drive to the race.
Powerwash Simulator 2 has more lore and story than the tiny, smooth brain of your average online gamer can handle.
Unless you’re complaining about those horrible Dr Pepper college football commercials, that’s your duty as a rational being.
I can see him having a tweedy paroxysm over simply the vastly incorrect use of the word “grok” as the name of the AI.

Anyway, solid jog to 70s funk, now I’m off tomorrow before my Friday spin up run. I’m 200% sure I’ll fail but I won’t fail until I struggle as far as I can.
It’s just unlucky for them that they were named after noted space bigot Duck Dodgers

Did what it said, while doing nervous math. The closer I can be to 20 miles at 4 hours, the more ideal the situation is. My goals are
10mi at 2hrs
15 @ 3
As close to 20 as possible @ 4

If I can make that goal I can walk it in
Damn decent of the MLB to have a full goddamn game left to play when Monday Night Football was over so that fans could watch both.
Good news everyone! My fourth book is going up on Amazon (the only place that will have me). Purchasing details coming soon.
