I could really use a mainline #MightAndMagic game or something like it; give me that party-based open world #RPG with race/class customization, simplified inventory, job promotion quests. That's the good stuff.

I watch a few YT game reviewers; they make short First 30 Minutes style videos to show off the games they are interested in.

@splattercatgaming is one example; he focuses on games from indie and AA studios.

If not gameplay like that, probably gameplay-centric trailers.

You don't play a light sim in Shadowdark either tbh. The torch in Shadowdark is an abstraction; we only track its duration. So long as it's lit the PCs do not incur penalties. EZPZ.

The addition of a "danger timer" keeps players focused on the game and not their phones or sidebar conversations.

I experienced bugs that were present in the original edition of the game - like swashbucklers not receiving starting gear. Immediately refunded until I see meaningful patches.
