Just finished the Zero Point novel & really enjoyed it. MC is ex-military so there’s that, it’s one of the better guideverse I’ve read.

One of the things I appreciate about YOTD is how Yona is able to have a meaningful relationship with the HHB without it ever turning weird.
There was a time Kusanagi felt pressured to put more romance into the story but I’m glad it never went anywhere.

The “only gay for you” thing is so funny because I don’t even believe that straight people are 100% straight, and these authors want to convince me that these boys only have the hots for one man so it’s different. A penis is a penis like I don’t know what more to say

Flip Flop Slowly is out soon & while I think the story is a bit undercooked, the art is absolutely breathtaking & matches the story perfectly. If you're looking for a quaint, quiet & delicate little love story this is the perfect series. MC's a librarian too which I rarely see.

How do you even response to people telling you “authors aren’t obligated to write what you want” or “write it yourself” or “nobody’s forcing you to read them” about a trope that’s overdone.

What I like about the Japanese manga industry is that if someone wants to write about an extremely niche field, they not only get to do so but those series can also be long-running.
Safe to say I don’t think the publishing industry anywhere else would greenlit those stories.

Reading websites splitting a chapter into multiple parts is evil af, especially if it’s coming from a big publisher (*cough* Kodansha) because they ruin the pacing of the series ON PURPOSE for capitalism.

If you like a competitive manga with a mostly female cast like Medalist or Girl Crush, I’ve been reading La Magnifique Grande Scène & really enjoying it. Kageki Shojo is high on my TBR too, I love manga that focus on sports & the arts.

In other words I started reading Red Blue & so far it’s pretty intriguing. Mangaka used to be an assisstant on Kuroko & HQ.

I love the setting & her drive towards learning, just how kind & respectful she is towards other cultures in general.
Hoping there would be some romance cause they’re so cute, I ship them.

I think the negative generalizations of entire demographics & genres could be entirely avoided if you love reading more than talking.
People need to try new series with an open mind, and actually find series that suits their interests.
