💙 On one hand, Steam sales are great for poorer gamers who want to get games without having to blow out their bank accounts (especially megacorp productions that are 60+ USD by default), but on the other hand, I feel like it has, at least to some extent, caused indie devs to undervalue their games.

💙 My hot take is that you should wait for it to to back up to its full price of 16 USD so you can better support the dev, but if $4 is a significant enough difference and money is a little tight for you, this is a great time to get the GOTY of 2024.

I think one thing I've come to realize about work culture is that when you get sick and your coworkers and supervisors say "oh no, I hope you get well soon" and such, while there *might* be some level of sincerity to it, I feel like many of them only want you to GWS so that you get back to work.

There a ton of reasons not to use blocklists -- manly, they almost all end up getting abused by the people running them for some kind of personal beef -- but lol "you need to be exposed to people you think suck" is so fucking stupid, social media isn't the self flagellation machine.
Blocking hatemongers is one thing but this trend of using mass block lists to avoid hearing from people who might or might not hold points of view you expect to disagree with is unhealthy imo and hurts the platform.
Bluesky was better off with folks like Margaret Mitchell and Giada Pistilli on it.
