Which journal to submit to?
When I don’t already have a clear choice (scope, impact factor, readership), I usually rely on a very simple criterion: the journals where the authors I cite most have published.
That way, I stay within the same scientific conversation.
How do you decide?

In France, a new textile eco-score came into effect on October 1, 2025: an environmental label on clothes to reveal their ecological cost. I’d love to see such a measure in Québec (and beyond !) to make the impacts of our fashion choices visible.

🌍👕 En France, un nouvel éco-score textile est entré en vigueur le 1ᵉʳ octobre 2025 : une note environnementale à afficher sur les vêtements pour révéler leur coût écologique. J’aimerais voir une telle mesure au Québec (et ailleurs!) pour rendre visibles les impacts de nos choix d’habillement.

All the sectors present yesterday broadly highlighted the same obstacles and levers to better integrate biodiversity into the economy. Encouraging to see this convergence.

When reaching out to companies for case studies on circular economy & biodiversity, I’m often asked if we have funds to compensate data sharing. I get it (time is money), but it’s a real challenge for research projects that don’t have budget for this.

J’échange actuellement avec des entreprises pour nos études de cas sur économie circulaire & biodiversité. On me demande souvent si un budget est prévu pour compenser le partage de données. Je comprends (le temps, c’est de l’argent), mais c’est un vrai défi pour la recherche.
