Citadel knight armor: armor worn at the Citadel; the symbol of Grand Mother Silk signifies Lace's position as the enforcer of her will // markings fade unless reapplied by Grand Mother Silk

Pre-rescue state: Phantom's state before being freed from the Exhaust Organ by Hornet; withered and unraveling silk all over the body // loose, flowy silk threads; crooked, uneven talons

Current appearance: their bodies are woven from silk threads, and are sustained using Hornet's own silk and silk spools she trades for with the First Sinner // curly, soft silk // blank, featureless face // tail separates into two // long, wavy silk; lighter in color and less ragged after their silk was replenished

Dirtmouth outfits: after moving to Dirtmouth, the siblings received new outfits designed for them with matching designs // nearly blind; lenses inside the mask help their vision focus // uses the longpin as walking aid and to scan their surroundings for obstacles

The character Second Sentinel from the indie game Hollow Knight: Silksong. In a dark and dimly lit room with the shattered remains of a glass shell that contained it, a brass automaton stands dormant with a beam of light shining down on it from above. It is clad in a capelet with the front tossed over one shoulder, revealing a pair of open panels that expose a vacant chest cavity. Hornet- the protagonist of the game, is seen in the reflection of the polished brass of the Sentinel's helmet, and from her POV we see her holding a clockwork heart, seemingly the correct size and shape to be slotted into the automaton's core.

Back when The Last Wish came out, I was very fascinated and impressed by their portrayal of Death, and I wanted to do something similar with Life! I don’t think I can master the Simplicity Is Key that they held for Death’s design language, but I gave it a shot! Anatomy is outdated, but that’s ok!
