Tbh I just dont know a lot about a lot of industries, having worked in mainly service and wildlife and animal care there isnt a whole lot thats ‘taken over by technology’ and tbh with service work I didnt wanna be doing it anyways 😭

Human made works are art. Yes genAI was created by people but it is being used to stifle others art which isnt on
Gen AI could have been a tool for artists definitely with some tweaks but the main issue is it is being used as a final product hence jobloss
So no one can really ethically use it

And I enjoy art like everyone does to some extent, the movies we watch, the covers of books, the writing in books

Why would a corporation go to these artists and pay them for their labour when they can either for free (or a small subscription fee) get a robot to do it for them, yk?

I am very late to comment but yes!! Plagiarism is a massive issue, but if you make a generative AI program with permission from artists to use certain works and have a website detailing which art is used from who, the issue pivots from plagiarism to then ‘can massive corporations profit off of this?

Like idk there definitely are ways generative tools could help artists thru some processes but instead ppl jumped to ‘lets make a final product’ and I think thats really dumb tbh
