I hate the online reaction cycle that praises a piece of art a lot and uses it as an example of what’s good about the medium but then the moment it gets awards or enough acclaim or fandom, suddenly we have to talk about how it’s actually not really that good and it’s overrated and always sucked

Eidos Montreal was working on a 'Legacy of Kain' soft-reboot before the Embracer acquisition. The game was 1 year in development and got cancelled, the IP rights got transfared to Crystal Dynamics.
