Maybe they wander the surrounding area, unwilling to accept the passage of time, murdering everyone within what they deem to be their property line. Because each manifestation is just the next day to them, and they can't handle the rapid change.

Thinking, atm, about a family of puritan-inspired isolationists whose mansion was buried by flood and now rises periodically from the waters every decade or so.
The members are all ghostly manifestations, so they're unkillable and may have themed powers, to keep up with our heroines.

Another hurdle is that slasher horror is rooted in grittiness, primal fear and the evils of our fellow man. But my protagonists, individually, would utterly obliterate most slashers.

Adding a supernatural element is non-negotiable. The trick is doing so without losing the genre in the process.

Had a lot of fun with the OC Camp Grizzly stuff, so now I'm designing my own slasher OCs for relevant smut.

And for me, designing OCs for smut usually leads to me coming up with elaborate backstories and dynamics that leave the actual NSFW side of the conceit behind. So...

On another note, having Mer-Ströhm drawn again gave me some old excitement to finally touch up her design. Really wanna push that deep-sea vibe into a proper part of her as opposed to an aesthetic on top of a normal mermaid look.

We homebrewed our OCs for a game of Camp Grizzly. Which was tantamount to roleplaying a session of a slasher movie AU, when you get right down to it.
