Throwing official identity documents at randos on the internet and hoping for the best is a terrible way to verify your age.

Discord hack is just the beginning of many more similar events to come if UK gov and others don't decide to do something else.

The UK's new age verification is a privacy nightmare, but it doesn't need to be

Is the Xbox Ally handheld really an Xbox or is Microsoft just hoping to muscle SteamOS off its turf in gaming PCs?

www.pcgamer.com/hardware/han...
Xbox is no longer a console, it's a platform, and it's already entered a battle for control over your handheld gaming PC
Xbox is becoming more like PC and Windows is becoming more like Xbox... is Microsoft looking to muscle SteamOS out of the way?

I've been testing Intel's latest microcode update to find out whether it hurts gaming performance on the Core i9 14900K. The good news is, no, it doesn't appear to. The bad news is many Intel CPUs likely still need to be returned and replaced.
Intel instability fix: I've seen no notable impact on game performance with 0x129 patch on the Core i9 14900K
That's good news, but damage done to older chips is irreparable.

RTX Remix is a pretty big deal for remaking old games. I've spoken to devs working on Half-Life 2 RTX + Need For Speed Underground 2 RTX about what it's doing for them and why it matters.

The Steam Deck's budget price tag is the reason I still rate it nearly two years on
PC gaming needed a budget champion and the Steam Deck filled that role at just the right time.

Alan Wake 2 is stunning, but you really need an RTX 40-series card to enjoy it to the max. Without DLSS + Frame Gen, you have to tone it back to get decent performance. Still, what a showcase of how good a videogame can look today. www.pcgamer.com/alan-wake-2-...
Alan Wake 2 is a stunning example of what the future of PC gaming looks like—but only on Nvidia
The RTX 40-series' features come together to make something beautiful in Alan Wake 2. I just wish it was something more players could experience for themselves.
