Dear Frog: The pot is boiling.
This is, after all, America First??
Wondering, GOP members of Congress: You ready to go to war to overthrow another government? @NYT: "The U.S. military is planning its own possible escalation, drawing up options for President Trump to consider, including strikes inside Venezuela."

Those people obviously did not understand that the Constitution was frozen by the thinking of the 18th Century politics.
We interrupt the flow of depressing news with a moment of promotion: Advance copies of my book arrived in my mailbox just now! Your neighborhood book store: Feb. 3.
Might it be that ICE agents now are ramming cars in Chicago, and then falsely claiming the other drivers are at fault? "Security video from one area residence captured the SUV containing the agents striking another SUV and spinning it into a parked car, but not any initial ramming..."

This appears such an abuse of the grand jury process. And meanwhile, how much of DOJ is redirected away from real justice to this??? www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/u...

Such incredible lack of empathy by our government toward the most vulnerable, in this and so much more.
Do Not Look Away.
George was just trying to get to work.

ICE pepper-sprayed him, dragged him from his car, locked him in a detention center, and placed him on suicide watch. He even missed his young daughter’s birthday in the process.

This man is a veteran and American citizen. Don't look away.
"They put me on suicide watch and they put me in the cell, I'm naked, in like a hospital dress and just a concrete bed with like a mattress, like a thin mattress and, they leave the light on 24/7."

@timmiller.bsky.social talked to a veteran who ICE wrongly detained and brutalized
Well, the President is so scrupulous about ethics, $47 a month is clearly unacceptable.

I'm old enough to remember when we thought Merrick Garland was a bad attorney general.
Pesce, re: Justin W: "He was the captain for a few years, and kind of just instilled that in us, to say, you know, caring is everything, and not accepting losing, as well.
From Pesce interview by Amanda Stein, NJ Devils team reporter, re: Rod: "He taught me a lot," Pesce shared. "You know what hard work truly is, to be honest. Roddy really cared about people, and the more you care about someone, better results come.

earlier this morning, cook county sheriff’s deputies kicked me and a couple other reporters who were standing by ourselves off a public sidewalk because it wasn’t “free speech” hours yet or something idk.

In Broadview this morning, just outside of Chicago, where you can get a police surveillance pod, a drone, and a helicopter in a single shot.
Dear Gov. Pritzker: Is this how your people are protecting citizens wwho peacefully protest?
Troopers with batons aggressively shoving crowd back.

Just saw two demonstrators arrested.
Lawless feds: ICE put up a fence blocking off the street in front of its CHicagoland facility. The city said: "Take it down, you had no permit." ICE ignored the city. The city sued and has now won. The mayor's response: "It remains to be seen if ICE will continue its pattern of defiance."
A Dist Court judge issued a TRO ordering the fed fence in Broadview removed.

Broadview mayor says court spoke “clearly and unequivocally” but that “it remains to be seen if ICE will respect the judge's order and dismantle this hazard immediately, or if they will continue their pattern of defiance."
The following statement can be attributed to Village of Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson:

"This is a validation of local law and, most importantly, a decisive win for public safety. The judge’s decision confirms that the illegal fence constructed by ICE is not only a clear defiance of Broadview’s ordinance but an unacceptable and escalating risk to our Beach Street businesses, their customers, and our first responders. The law of probability dictates that the danger increases daily. The court has spoken clearly and unequivocally. Now, it remains to be seen if ICE will respect the judge's order and dismantle this hazard immediately, or if they will continue their pattern of defiance."
