Keeping the cartoons in circulation, even today thanks to MeTV Toons, Boomerang and Tubi should bring inspiration for all new takes on the famous troupe of characters in the distant future.

Now, it has been confirmed that Warner Archive is actively restoring the show for release the future.

The Bugs Bunny Show is to thank for keeping the relevancy of the Looney Tunes franchise alive as the theatrical shorts came to an end in 1969.

The show's legacy inspired many animators, comedians, and historians who watched them on TV.

“Rabbit Every Monday”, “A Mouse Divided” and “Tree for Two” were the first shorts to ever air for its 1960 premiere. “The Grey-Hounded Hare”, “Tugboat Granny”, and “Guided Muscle” were the last three to air on September 2, 2000.

The theme song, “This Is It”, written by Mack David and Jerry Livingston (also behind 77 Sunset Strip and Casper) is just as famous as the show itself. In fact, MeTV revived it for their show, “Bugs Bunny and Friends”. It is synonymous and a guarantee you get the best of Saturday Morning cartoons.

There is also The Road Runner Show (1966-1968) on CBS. It has a famous theme song written and performed by Barbara Cameron.

As mentioned by @connorratliff.bsky.social, Andy Sturmer arranged the theme in The Looney Tunes Show.

CBS combined it with The Bugs Bunny Show for a full 60 minutes.

Other shows followed the format like The Porky Pig Show (ABC) (packaged locally as "Porky Pig and Friends"). Another TV package that aired on local stations was named as "Bugs Bunny and Friends".

There was The Merrie Melodies Show , Sylvester and Tweety (CBS), and The Daffy Duck Show (NBC).

The show definitely surged the popularity of the Looney Tunes on television. Initially, it ran for two seasons before it moved to the Saturday morning lineup and it stayed that way ever since.

The format changed over the years when the show aired on ABC and CBS.
