In powershell you have to hit → to accept a completion instead of tab and I don't think I'm ever going to get used to that.

Achievement Unlocked: 3d printed something actually useful.

Here's my money saving expert tip: Always cancel your subscription services before they renew. They will usually offer you a discount to keep the service going. And the worst case is they don't and you just reenable renewal for the same price if you do still want it.

I'm glad Ofcom allowed all those mobile network mergers. My 2 year contract with Vodafone comes to an end this month and... everything is twice as expensive now. Like holy shit expensive.

I bet all of these 7000+ comments are well thought out and completely reasonable and nuanced.

Seriously why does the BBC have comments on some stories? Why invite Daily Mail readers into your home?

How the heck is the Xbox 360 20 years old?

And why haven't Microsoft released any other consoles since?

You’ve got to wonder about the mentality of people who come into an empty lecture theatre and sit right on the end of a row so that everyone else needs to get past them to use the rest of the seats.

Got a new PC at work because of Windows 11. Still think it's really idiotic that they removed the ability to reposition the task bar on the side - something you could do since it existed. I have all this monitor width, but no, the task bar has to take up some of the much more precious height.

Why do audiobook narrators speak so goddam slowly. I'm not one for speeding through these things, but I have to speed most of them up to 1.3x or 1.4 just so the narrator is speaking at normal coversational speed. If I slow it down to 1x it really sounds like they are drunk or doing a funny voice.

An absolute legend has re-implemented notoriously difficult puzzle game Stephen's Sausage Roll, charted the entire state-space of levels and made a 3d visualization of the state space where you can zoom in on nodes and see the game in that state.

Everyone laughed at the crew in Prometheus for not taking precautions, but I'm rewatching The X-Files and Mulder and Scully are at least as bad. A scientist just got blasted in the face with a highly infectious disease because Scully decide she had to examine a corpse without biohazard gear.

I'm old enough now that I really need Amazon to show a scan of one page from any paperback they sell, along with a scale, so I can tell if it's too small to read. Multiple times I've bought a paperback, then had to buy a used hardback copy just because the paperback type to too small to read.
