It’s just, can a company not be a shifty slimy backstabber for ONCE? Like, can a company I work at actually care about & encourage its employees (me) for once?

This shit’s exhausting, what happened to professionalism? I’m almost 38, I don’t have time for my workplace to play these immature antics 🙄

I already had issue with this place, cause they only pay me for my in-person booked class time, meaning I DON’T get paid for all the work I have to do outside of class (ex. curriculum & lesson planning, assessment grading, administrative work, etc)

But now this? Nah, time to look for a new job

And that completely blindsided me, cause what you mean? I thought you guys said i was “permanent” & not a substitute, so why don’t I have a class?

Like???

I expected my class to change, though I don’t like the idea of change for change’s sake, but now that ends up with me being not paid? Wtaf!?

But what I DIDN’T expect was them telling me “your contact ends on Halloween, but right now we don’t have a class for you, but we might have one open up on November 24, until then if we have any substitute opportunities, you be the first to know”

So I’m essentially without work or pay for 3 weeks

At start of August, I was told I was no longer gonna be a substitute teacher, but that I was now a permanent teacher

But, last week I got news that the school is ending my contract with my current class & moving me to a new class. I’m upset about that, but knew it was a possibility since September

Mainly I’m very dissatisfied & disappointed in my job. There had been things I’d been dissatisfied with for a long time, but last week was the last straw for my wanting to try for this place

Reason I’m depressed is cause it sucks to feel like my trust in my job has been taken for granted

She didn’t say anything about it when I brought up the phrase. But later, she confronted me, having taken it personally as if I said she was a bitch although I was just naming the English phrase

I apologized but still, it’s like you’re kinda taking it way too personal/serious, & making it awkward 🙄

So innocuously, I tell this teacher, whose 1st language isn’t English, that in English we call that phenomenon of having a serious face like that a “resting bitch face”

In no way was I saying she was a bitch or that she was mean or angry as a person

I’m so tired of people taking non-personal shit personally

In the teacher’s lounge, a fellow teacher told me & another teacher that her student said that he didn’t like her class because she’s angry all the time

We say sometimes she has a very serious face someone may mistake as being angry

My brother’s visit is done, time flew by!

But I got to play the playtest of an rpg he’s been working on making since 2022. It was excellent! Honestly, if I didn’t know he made it all by himself in RPG Maker, I’d think it was an unofficial Final Fantasy game à la the SNES

Got a lil’ treat for myself. I collect tarot decks, so I got a D&D one today. The other two shown are my Klimt one done with his artwork & uses gold leaf (my fave deck), and my Dali one which uses his art. I’ve another deck, but it’s generic & I couldn’t find it 😅

True, there’s times where he’ll ask my advice “what should I do now?” about a situation & I have to go “I don’t know I’ve never done it this way”, like when he got Rugan & Ollie killed before getting the password to the Zhetarim hideout.

For example, he got so frustrated with doing the Goblins & Grove battle with so many do-overs that even though Zevlor died & Minthara was killed by an npc, he didn’t care as long as the battle was finished. Another example, Baelen got blown up by Bibberbang & he was all what’s done is done 😭

My bf is playing Baldur’s Gate 3 for the first time & it’s so hard not to backseat game, because often he’ll rush headlong into something or get frustrated & not care about certain consequences, because he doesn’t want to do-over things again & again 😅

Granstream Saga - remaster/remake

95% of Granstream Saga is amazing! It has fun gameplay, interesting characters, & a compelling plot.

But then…you get to the last part - it takes EVERYTHING it built up all game & completely throws it all away, just ruining the game entirely.

Silent Hill - remake

The first Silent Hill is what made me fall in love with the series, not Silent Hill 2 like most of the fanbase. But, don’t get me wrong, SH 2 is awesome.

As such, game devs should see how well the SH 2 remaster/remake did & give SH 1 the same treatment!

Xenogears - remaster/remake

Disc 1 is amazing! Disc 2…oof!

The devs cut so much content that 10% of Disc 2 was gameplay, the other 90% was cutscenes/FMVs, reading dialogue, & story battles. So, they need to restore Disc 2 almost completely. And, make the game accessible/available.

Legend of Dragoon - remaster

I think the game is mostly ideal. It just needs a revamp of graphics & better translation work

The story & music are good, the characters developed, & the gameplay fun. Maybe make playing Albert & Miranda feel different than Lavitz & Shana though 🤔

I wish they did a little more with Kongol’s model - just some angles it looks really flat for being supposedly 3D

They need to remaster this game or at least port over the version they released for PS 4/5 to Steam (currently I can only play via emulation)

Also, I figured Syuveil was from there 😋
