I disagree that treating the devs better and paying them more would lead to games costing more, the executives would just have to stop promising infinite growth to investors, microsoft made 5 billion dollars in profit last year. EA makes billions every quarter from fifa microtransactions alone etc.
My bar for all of this is my upper limit is about £50-£60 (about $70) and that is for one of a kind "this is a sure fire hit that I will love" games. These people thinking I will ever pay $100 for ANY videogame is ridiculous and out of touch. Videogame market is gonna crash.
Don't care dude, the Simpsons reference was really simple, move on.
ok this is a completely different topic and point, you claimed that the analogy didnt "make sense" it does, people understood what it meant, whether or not you agree with the conclusions made is irrelivant to me...i do not care how much your ego is attached to the mega corparation.
the analogy is very easy to understand.
The pig continues to get less and less desirable to eat whilst homer...the one originally cooking the pig...tried to convince himself that it is fine and still edible...xbox continues to get less and less desirable as a brand whilst the higher ups, the ones responcible for this, do the same as homer
Since being aquired by xbox in 2022, in the last 4 years, Activision have produced exactly 6 games, 4 of them were call of duty. In the 4 years before that, Activison produced 13 games. Bethesda was aquired in 2020, 5 years, they produced 18 games. The 5 years before that, they produce 21.
no, you just didn't get the refference and thats fine dude.
xbox are so out of touch.
Watched Nobody 2, it's like the Die Hard 2 of the franchise, alot of repeating the first with deminishing returns. Still fun but not much new.
Jarhead is finaly getting a modern release in 4K, took long enough that movie is shot so well. Alot more movies that still need saving from that weird 2000 to 2005 era of phisical media where everything is out of print and costs way too much online.
Ironically he spent more money building the killdozer than would have been spent fixing his sewage pipes.
People should take the time to read the Wikipedia article on that guy, he was a horrible person that was given every chance to accept and easy solution and refused every time.
Is this showing in the UK?
Watched 'Tornado' , pretty good. Very low budget as the movie seemingly has about 4 or 5 locations they shot in that wernt just hills in the highlands but it looks very pretty and the acting is solid. Movie knows when to shut up and let the visuals do the talking.
Quote reposting just to disagree with someone is a great way to destroy all potential good faith or discussion and just leads to people being overwhelmed and harrassed. In short, use the reply function to debate or don't respond at all.
You know, typically i would say "why would this studio pivot so hard to a genre they have no expirience with" but quantic dreams strength has never been writing or story so sure, never too late to find your strength.
Watched Ran (1985) good film, kinda baffling how many ridiculously exicuted in-camera shots are in this film. Not sure you could convince anyone to fund a movie like this nowadays.
New YouTube UI update sucks.
fair enough, i hate that political parties in the UK seemingly find it difficult to both be against hateful bigoted bs AND be effective at getting votes.
I think the narrative that it has been "fucked up massively" is straight up BBC propaganda talking point.
im not even sure who youre refering to with the "back handed compliment" thing, i agree that transphobes and homophobes can go away, i just think its really unrealistic to expect green to win a majority vote with the way uk voting works.
Only "fuck up" I'm aware of was when the media made a big deal out of one single public disagreement between zultana and Corbyn to do with when the official launch of the party was. I have yet to see anything that I find a problem.
my ideal conclusion is the newly created Your Party teams up with the green party this year and has a coalition government.
Watched 'One Battle After Another' good movie.
