So, I did a thing.

There are any number of reasons this could go south (i.e., because of ever changing life circumstances), but for the time being, I'm optimistic. I applied to, and was accepted by, the University of Maryland PhD program in music theory.

Wow, I seem to have picked up a lot of new followers! Thanks and welcome!

I thought I'd take this opportunity, then, to do a little self-promotion. Here's my string quartet "Penumbra," which is the title track of my most recent album.

Happy New Year! My resolution, in as much as I have one, is to force myself to do a little more self-promotion. So here is some of my music! Enjoy!

Regarding the Hunter pardon, it seems to me that Pres. Biden is all out of F's to give.

I know I am.

Why do all the people saying this act like we’ve never spent time around conservatives? I grew up with them. The maga dipshits have been around for almost a decade. Musk has owned twitter for years. Nothing good came out of being around them and I don’t need to constantly see their dumb opinions.
Opinion - The problem with Bluesky: It won’t broaden our horizons: In the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, the social-media platform has enjoyed a surge of new users looking for an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. But will it be useful, if it just creates an echo chamber for the left?

So…..I suppose that’s all she’s got. Nothing else to offer as a public servant.

Meanwhile…most of humanity has used both-sex bathrooms. Routinely. (Airplanes. Restaurants. Workplaces. Dorms)

But whatever.
Nancy Mace has now posted 262 times on X in the last 36 hours about the bathroom.

This election result isn't about Dem messaging.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz formed a balanced ticket filled with character, intellect, and genuine love for this country, and they delivered their vision beautifully and eloquently.

After telling the public for two years that Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy, members of the mainstream media are now cozying back up to him.

It's not okay.

Some of you are not conceiving of racism in the right way you’re thinking of it as something interpersonal when it’s institutional & cultural. It’s whiteness being primed to ascend whether it deserves to or NOT. It’s being “the default” Trump is the embodiment of it

Yes!

Don’t surrender in advance.

These kinds of replies are driving me crazy.

“Oh well, it’s over” helps NO ONE.
Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.

I'm so pleased to announce my piece Hexagonal Labyrinths II was selected for inclusion at MOXSonic 2025 (The Missouri Experimental Sonic Arts Festival) next March. This wouldn't be possible without the kind participation of The _____ Experiment (Blank Experiment).

Discussing Bluesky migration in terms of liberal flight misses the simple fact that most people use social media for fun not influence and this platform, unlike X and cruddified Facebook, doesn’t feel like you’re wading through shit to reach your friends. It’s not that deep.

Sceptic is misapplied as suffix on vaccine-, climate- euro- etc. Scepticism is healthy practice of withholding confidence pending evidence. If you recoil from evidence and demand your own alternative pretend evidence it's denial.
