Hanukkah starts at sundown this evening. To those that celebrate, we wish you a joyous eight-day festival and a lifetime of light.

The U.S. House has unanimously passed the Mikaela Naylon #GiveKidsAChanceAct, legislation that will accelerate pediatric cancer treatments & expand access to life-saving therapies for children battling rare diseases. ACS CAN urges the Senate to swiftly pass this bill.

November is stomach cancer awareness month. While there aren't any screening recommendations, there are actions you can take to lower your risk.

Today is World Pancreatic Cancer Day. Pancreatic cancer is not usually found until later stages start creating symptoms.

November is lung cancer awareness month. Unless you are considered high risk, there is no recommended screening for lung cancer.

Vaccination of young adults will not prevent as many cancers as vaccination of children and teens

While ACS doesn't recommend the vaccine for anyone over 26, it is available up to age 45.

It's World Immunization Day, a great day to talk about the HPV vaccine.

The American Cancer Society recommends:
- 2 doses of the HPV vaccine between the ages of 9 & 12.

-Teens & young adults 13-26 who have not been vaccinated or who haven’t gotten all their doses should get the vaccine ASAP.

November is a big awareness month for different types of cancers! We'll be touching on most of these during the month with the exception of neuroendocrine cancers. There are too many variations that fall under that label and I couldn't possibly do it justice.
