Children seek comfort and safety from their parents, from both a fundamental instinct and because they have no one else (nature, nurture), and even when being abused, often still try to supplicate love
Thing about x*nogears is that it is a story about a child who has an abusive mother and a neglectful father. Its a cliche but by no means an uncommon family dynamic. I really wonder how many children out there playing the game in the 90s/2000s felt a part of their pain illustrated in that story

Katarina in romancing saga 3 has 2 endings, one where mikhail basically proposes to her (good ending?) and another where she leaves and continues her new life as a sellsword (bad ending?).. i always preferred the "bad" ending. Former noblewoman ditches mikhail and becomes an adventurer (freedom)

the fact that sig has a belly piercing tells you a little bit about what his bellybutton looks like (that he has the anatomy for a piercing) and i think thats really cute (i want to eat his liver through his beautiful soft tummy)
i guess the convenience of free hosting sites doesnt really exist anymore (angelfire, geocities, yahoo etc) and "micro blogging" sites which come with a built-in community like twitter or bluesky does not offer any kind of customization for personal expression at all..
its really common to see people say that they miss personal/fan sites, and i agree 1000000%, but, you know, you can just make a personal website instead of lamenting its nonexistence. we can make webrings a thing again, people just gotta start doing it...
