“The Gen Z stare.” I have seen that stare in all human beings, in my experience. It’s the stare of people who are not in the present moment. They are crammed into their own heads or they are crammed into their devices. Easily remedied though. Breathe and return to the now.

There are many tools. Studying the Stoic idea of the dichotomy of control has proven to be very helpful. I have also found mindfulness practices to be great as well.
