Sabbath Sign Out: Besitos for dessert. This pup is Luna who I met on May Day in #ChelseaMA. Then today, I found besitos at Market Basket in Waltham! We all deserve más besitos y menos deportaciones. Feast and rest for the work is long.

“This is just a foretaste of the heavenly banquet,” said (Very Rev Amy) McCreath. “It’s like this vision of the world that God wants for us all the time.” Thank you @bostonglobe.com for this very American & very hopeful story of feeding community on #Thanksgiving www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/27/m...

Praying with Psalm 142: let us pray 🙏🏽- It’s true, I pour out all my complaints to You, all my complaints. A grocery list. A laundry list. An Amazon wish list of complaints. I tell You most of my troubles. Then I try to hide like You don’t know. When my spirit languishes, guide me back. Bring me home

This is the best of #Church & best of #America. On #Thanksgiving at the Cathedral Church of St Paul in #Boston, the #Muslims cook the meal, #Christians bring the pies and we all serve the unhoused community with dignity. We pray and sing and feast. There is enough when we share.

Turkey trots are for babies. Real clerics ride bikes.

(I shaved 7 minutes off my commute to church!! With a headwind- the streets are for people) this was the thanksgiving table before we fed the unhoused community.

I LOVE BCYF so much. Gimme them shoot around with the trash talk, free swimming pools, kids in art classes, dance for the people, and elders learning to code, old Russian ladies doing aqua aerobics kicking my ass. BCYF is some of the best of Boston. They get all my thanks and praise.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at BCYF! 🦃

We’re grateful for the champions across our community — the youth, families, and older adults we serve, and the staff who bring our 36 sites to life. We’re also thankful for our partners who support our mission.

Wishing you warmth and good food! 🍁💙

Friends, if you need a reading before feasting, I just reread Lincoln’s #Thanksgiving proclamation. It’s quite good… “to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a Day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.” plimoth.org/yath/unit-5/...

Praying with Deuteronomy 26: let us pray 🙏🏽- Remind us, O Lord, to bring our first fruits before You. Remind us, we are in a land of milk and honey. Our ancestors were wandering Arameans, were enslaved, immigrants and indigenous. Make us Your people. Make us generous and thankful. Make us Yours. Amen

These are no longer free public libraries.
1. In Tennessee, public libraries have closed for up to a week to facilitate a Trump-inspired book purge.

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett (R) has ordered most of the state's public librarians to remove children's books with LGBTQ characters or themes.

Global warming is bad. Stipulated. AND everyone of Boston’s public tennis courts and those stupid loud 🥒 ball courts was full tonight at 60F.

God bless #JimmyCliff. This was the music of my childhood. You could not tell me they weren’t singing “Laura!” Shout out to my parents for playing “The Harder they Come.” On repeat. We’ve got many rivers to cross, saints. #SkaAllOverTheWorld

Praying with Psalm 119- let us pray 🙏🏽- Ok but FRFR God, I’m not calling with my whole heart; I’ve got one eye on You and another on my phone, the news and my own crazy. I’m calling You early in the morning mostly because I can’t sleep. Let’s fix this. Give me life. Give me life abundant. Give me God

“What are you holding?” “What’s helping?” These are two of the orienting questions we use at #MassChurches for staff meetings. Invites intimacy but doesn’t force it. People are holding so much these days. We hold it better together.

Made my single best decision of the past week and threw my body in the pool this morning. Got my ass handed to me when I got in the lane with other women. Turns out one was a triathlete.
Lifeguard said “Ma’am? Why don’t you swim with them men? They’re slower.”
I love the Boston community pool.
