That makes more sense! It's 20 years or more since I last used one of these!
I think the top one is temperature and the right one is steam level.
6 pm Sunday. Youngest daughter: mum we're doing the Great Fire of London tomorrow and I need a costume. Have you got anything i can use? Long dark skirt, white blouse, apron?
Sigh. Rummage through wardrobe. Familiar?
Maybe but.... she's the class teacher. 🤣🤣
It's feeling a bit more like 1984 right now!
See my comment on the other thread. I'd like to think there would be a list at each Diocesan or Bishops office . Surely they know where they're not welcome! And big cheer for those who have done the research.
Agreed. This is information that should be open, transparent, and publicly available. I just wonder whether there's scope for a GS PMM requiring all churches which don't accept the ministry of women, or of their diocesan bishop, to make a completely transparent statement to that effect
Great to see this piece of research on making transparent those churches which exclude women from leadership.
Can you help with this transparency project?
We’ve been contacted by a number of people who say that our list, compiled from the male-only priesthood societies/bishops’ own lists needs corrections!
If you know of any inaccuracies or additions to this list, please email

For the first time, we expose the subset of @churchofengland.org churches that limit women’s roles & opportunities:

Polite note that you have duplicated St David Eastwood under Chelmsford Diocese. But well done on improving the transparency of non-inclusive churches!
Probably! And I would think most Gazans are more concerned to find the bodies of their own relatives. Very reasonably.
Given the quality of literacy and grammar skills evidenced on social media, may we expect an expulsion of native born brits who don't have a clue about apostrophes or homonyms?

Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

Pope Leo calls for news agencies to stand as bulwark against "post-truths," lies and manipulation
Pope Leo XIV has encouraged international news agencies to stand firm as a bulwark against the "ancient art of lying" and manipulation.

I'm thankful that polio inoculation was available in my childhood. People forget how much harm these 'childhood ' infections did.
Having had all three as a child, I would remind people that each of them was a) very dangerous with potential life-threatening complications; b) made you feel very ill and needed a lot of gentle parenting; and c) meant we missed 2 weeks of education each time. Go get jabbed!!
Yes and no. I think I'd marginally prefer the Tories as 2nd largest rather than Reform. I mean there's not a lot to choose, but...
I don't use it on the laptop, I download Oremus Almanac into my Google calendar, so don't know the answer to that.
Agreed! Try Oremus Almanac which you can download free either as a spreadsheet or into an online calendar like Google or Apple calendar.
Had to pause and remind myself that 'ancienne' means 'former' and not 'ancient'.😃
