Trump and Republicans are so dead set on letting health care premiums skyrocket that they were willing to shut down the government.

I’ll keep fighting for Fairfax families and pushing for a bipartisan deal to fund the govt, protect federal workers, and prevent this health care crisis.

It was great to be in Reston this morning for the Northern Virginia Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

We must do more to support those facing Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, and to invest in the research needed to end this devastating disease.

Trump & Russ Vought are breaking the law — using illegal mass firings to strong-arm Congress into letting health care costs skyrocket for families.

If they want to end this shutdown, they can tell Republicans to end their vacation.

@oversightdemocrats.house.gov Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia and I called on @USGAO to investigate Russ Vought’s illegal directive ordering agencies to fire federal workers in violation of the Antideficiency Act.

This scheme needs to be investigated.

We heard from a mother whose adult child will lose Medicaid coverage because of the looming cuts.

Trump’s threat to block furloughed workers’ back pay is nothing but a scare tactic.

Ironically, Trump himself signed the 2019 law that guarantees back pay. It’s crystal clear.

Trump is feeling the heat from his shutdown and looming health care cuts. But bluster won’t solve his problems.

First, they led us into this shutdown—now they’re inventing powers to further punish federal workers. Complete bluster and BS.
