This National Family Caregivers Month, we recognize the quiet heroes who give their days, nights, and hearts to those they love. Your strength holds families together, and your compassion lifts our communities. Your devotion reminds us that love in action is the greatest public service. Thank you.

Black Friday hits different when prices are already inflated. A ‘deal’ doesn’t feel like a deal when reckless trade wars are driving up costs before you even hit the checkout counter. Prices on everyday goods keep climbing, and even “sale” tags can’t hide the pain shifted onto working families.
Black Friday doesn’t guarantee lower prices, as tariffs have led some stores to raise them
If you’re waiting for Black Friday deals before buying, depending on what’s on your shopping list, you may be out of luck this year.

Today, I am thankful for everyone in our communities who helps put dinner on our table, from hands that grow and harvest our food, to those who prepare it. Grateful for all who grow, make, and share what nourishes us—because what America makes and grows, makes and grows America. #HappyThanksgiving!

Monitoring developments related to an attack targeting National Guard in DC. Violence of all shapes and forms is unacceptable.

National Guard don’t decide their deployment—they serve our country.

My heart breaks, and I pray for them, their families, and loved ones on the eve of Thanksgiving.

The President promised to cut energy bills in half. Instead, reckless tariffs and the war on cheaper energy is causing them to soar.

80 Million Americans are struggling to pay their utility bills—forced to decide between heat, food, medicine and housing. We need an all of the above energy strategy.
Fuel And Energy Prices Up Across The Board
Fuel and energy prices continue to rise this year despite claims to the contrary. The rise in diesel and electricity prices is particularly concerning.

Had a great time welcoming seniors from Anthony Wayne High School to DC. We talked about civics, what we’re working on in Congress to make life better in NW Ohio, and what’s ahead for them after graduation. Exciting to hear about their future plans as they wrap up high school!

President Trump campaigned on bringing down grocery prices day one, but it’s almost Thanksgiving and prices are up. Household budgets are being carved up alongside the Thanksgiving turkey. Families are paying 40% more for tin foil to wrap leftovers, 22% more for cranberry sauce and the list goes on.

Susan Murray was a beloved daughter of Sandusky, Ohio and the embodiment of the very kind and generous heart of NW Ohio's people. From teaching young readers at Sts. Peter and Paul School, to helping found the Boys and Girls Club of Erie County, Susan made humanity her vocation. Rest in Peace Susan.

Introduced bipartisan legislation alongside my NW Ohio colleague, Representative Bob Latta. Our purpose is to honor a legendary Ohioan and pioneer of American military history, Rear Admiral Alene B. Duerk, the first woman in the United States Navy to achieve the rank of Rear Admiral.

Rate payers deserve relief! Hoping this is just the beginning of getting justice for Ohioans bilked by State Government and FirstEnergy corruption. I will not stop fighting until every Ohioan harmed by this evil doing is made whole, and perpetrators held accountable for their actions.

This violent rhetoric is unbecoming of the Presidency and dangerous in a time of heightened political violence. We all need to lower the temperature. Dangerous distractions when we should be working to lower costs and make life more affordable for hardworking American families are just wrong.

Today, we mark the anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. I pause to reflect on the courage of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and the enduring promise of our democracy. Their lives remind us that freedom is earned, not given, and that our work to build a just, united nation carries on.

During #NationalRuralHealthMonth l'm sharing stories from NW Ohio. Next year, for tens of thousands of people across my region and 500,000 Ohioans, health insurance will become unaffordable. Speaker Johnson, I hope you listen to these desperate pleas.

Every House GOP Member except Rep. Thomas Massie and Rep. Greg Steube voted to send Millions of taxpayer dollars to 8 US Senators related to their potential involvement in the January 6 plot. I voted no on the self-dealing payout — why didn't they?

In a nearly unanimous vote, Congress has finally acted to release the Epstein Files. I hope the President will hold true to his promises and ensure their swift release. Sunshine is the best disinfectant, and victims deserve justice.

225 years ago, Congress first convened in Washington DC. I hope that once we finally are able to vote to release the Epstein files this week that the House can swiftly bring itself to do something meaningful to address the affordability challenges so many American families face day in and day out.

NW Ohio farmers, producers, growers, ranchers, and consumers deserve consistent trade policies that don’t shift with political winds or whims. When our markets lack certainty, it becomes harder to get ahead, guarantee the bottom line, and afford to pay at the check out counter.

Congress today should vote for affordable health insurance for Americans and reduce its rising costs. Instead, in the dead of night, eight Senate Republicans slipped into this bill a payola for themselves, literally raking millions of dollars to themselves. This is corruption.
